My Lump First I would like to thank my family, friends and team mates for their support! Within the last month my life and the lives of those who love me has been turned upside down, I discovered a large lump in my right breast! Off to the doctor's I went, first came the physical exam, then the mammogram and then on to the ultrasound! All the time hoping there has been some big mistake. My head constantly turning with thoughts of what can I do to get the ones I love through this? Now I wait, I have to see a surgeon, a biopsy is my last hope that this is just a big nothing! Sleepless nights, nightmares, tears and planning for the worst outcome, while trying to be positive. My life plan has always been "Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst." I have so much planned and no time for this intruder, so I will not allow it to consume me! I have money to raise and a walk to prepare for, so I am positive that this will turn out okay! But if it doesn't, I will not stop my life for this unwanted visitor! I have dreams and goals and much unfinished business! Christmas is coming and I will put this aside for the Holidays, then when I see Dr. Sigman on January 3rd, we will find out everything, and proceed with whatever is necessary, if there is anything at all!! I just wanted to let everyone,I love, to know that whatever comes will not take me down! I love you all, and thank you for your prayers and thoughts, but I will be on the streets of Montreal once again in August 2008! Love Shelley
